Hunt Of A Lifetime - MN Chapter

David and Lois McHugh joined the Hunt of Lifetime team as Minnesota Ambassadors, after there son Wayne received a caribou hunt in Canada and died 10 day after returning from the hunt. Wayne told his dad that it was one of the best weeks of his life and he wished other kids could have the same experience with there dads. David then pledged to make that happen for other kids like Wayne. Wayne's sister Katie and her husband Paul Malenke joined the MN team and help raise money for the foundation.

Four hundred fifty one children have been granted wishes as of Feb 1, 2009 (70 in 2008). Ten have been granted wishes but are electing to wait until they are feeling well enough to go on their trip. As of Feb 1, 2009 there have been 22 children from Minnesota granted wishes (18 have gone on their trip [6 in 2008] 2 were waiting until they are feeling better to go and 2 died before they were able to go on their trips).

The 4th Annual Minnesota Hunt of a Lifetime Banquet held on February 7th 2009 was very successful. Because of the money raised we will be able to grant more deserving children a hunt of a lifetime and give their family members something wonderful to smile about.

Starting in 2006 the MN Chapter of Hunt of a Lifetime began having an annual fund raising banquet on the first Saturday night in February. We plan to continue the annual banquets with the wonderful support we received from family, friends, and a tight nit group of people from the Rum River Chapter of MN Deer Hunters and MN Duck and Goose Callers.
